Many people with disabilities, or those who find it difficult to travel, often feel scared to try it. However, with the right information and guidance you can gain the confidence you need and not let fear stop you from exploring the world.

Research in the West shows that many people with disabilities choose to stay at home because they feel that the outside world is unsafe and lack the confidence to travel. Only about 10% of people with disabilities venture out to travel widely.

We have promoted accessible tourism for everyone through various online platforms globally and some feedback we receive mentions that "Thailand isn't ready for travelers with disabilities." But this is based only on what they think, not what they know.

While it's true that there are still many physical and infrastructure challenges to overcome, collaboration between the public and private sectors is making great progress. Improvements like ramps, accessible bathrooms, proper signage, and training for relevant personnel are now much more common and getting better all the time.

Let's keep fighting to make Thailand a tourism destination that welcomes everyone.
